An Introduction to Experience AI

Kinia’s New Fully Funded Programme for Educators
Kinia is excited to announce a new programme open to all educators nationwide—Experience AI—and it’s fully funded!

Experience AI is an innovative educational programme offering cutting-edge resources on artificial intelligence and machine learning for teachers and students.

We aim to empower learners to become critical consumers and responsible creators of AI systems. The programme provides free resources and professional development opportunities, giving educators everything they need to confidently deliver AI and machine-learning sessions in their classrooms. These resources include lesson plans, slide decks, worksheets, and videos.

Students will explore real-world AI applications, learn about the growing array of AI-related careers, and consider the social and ethical implications of AI advancements.

Designed for teachers across a wide range of subjects, this programme requires no prior knowledge of AI.

This programme has been made possible through Kinia’s partnership with the Raspberry Pi Foundation, with funding from Google.org.The programme is co-developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation and Google DeepMind, supporting educators in an increasingly AI-driven world, helping to inform and inspire the next generation.

An Introduction to Smart Energy Overview

SPARKING CURIOSITY ABOUT AI

Engage

Experience AI begins with engaging activities designed to capture your curiosity. Through thought-provoking videos, real-world case studies, and hands-on demonstrations, learners are introduced to artificial intelligence and its impact on their daily lives. They will uncover how AI shapes everything from social media algorithms to self-driving cars, setting the stage for deeper exploration.
HANDS-ON AI LEARNING

Explore

You will dive into the world of AI with interactive projects and simulations that encourage discovery, using tools such as Machine Learning for Kids. These exploratory activities allow learners to investigate how AI systems process data, identify patterns, and make predictions, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Building Understanding of AI Concepts

Explain

In the Explain phase, you will consolidate your discoveries into a clear understanding of key AI principles. Guided by structured lessons and teacher-led discussions, you will learn about machine learning, data sets, algorithms, and ethical considerations. By connecting theoretical knowledge with practical applications, learners gain a solid foundation in AI literacy.
Applying AI to Real-World Problems

Elaborate

Experience AI challenges learners to think creatively and apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems. From designing ethical AI solutions for sustainability to developing simple chatbots or image recognition models, this phase encourages learners to explore AI’s potential across various fields, including healthcare, agriculture, and environmental conservation.
Reflecting and Assessing AI Learning

Evaluate

To conclude, learners evaluate their learning through reflective exercises. This phase not only measures understanding but also reinforces critical thinking and encourages continuous improvement. Finally, a recurring theme throughout the program relates to careers in AI, and this will be explored in depth at this stage.
