An Introduction to Mobile Filmmaking

Looking for a simple way to develop young people's creativity through mobile filmmaking? This practical, hands-on course covers every stage of the process, from developing ideas and filming to directing, editing and producing a short film. Gain creative, accessible techniques you can use in your teaching, to build young people's creativity, collaboration, communication and digital media skills.

DELIVERY

Being digitally creative develops key skills and competencies that build opportunity and learning pathways, so that all young people can confidently create their future.

WHO IT'S FOR

Primary and secondary teachers, youth workers and anyone working with young people aged 8 and upwards in a youth setting. No prior experience is required.

EQUIPMENT

You will receive all the equipment and support you need. For this course, we will send you: Tripod, Rig, Light, Microphone and Greenscreen.

FUNDED TRAINING

Funded places are available for organisations aligned with our social impact goals. Digital Strategy or community grants can also be used, with every euro circling back into programmes that widen opportunity and power up communities across Ireland.

At the end of the course, we will support you to work on creative projects with young people. During Creative Technology Week they can showcase their work and be recognised through our youth events and live award ceremonies.

Educators and young people that successfully demonstrate the learning outcomes of this course will receive an industry recognised credential to celebrate and showcase their new skills.
